Make The Bed Respond.
Eight Sleep brings connected technology into the bedroom. Its Pod system combines a temperature-controlled cover with a bedside Hub, sensing, software and an app. The ambition is simple to understand: make the sleep environment respond to the person using it.
Delivering that experience is a hardware challenge. Eight Sleep describes the Pod 4 Hub as a combination of reservoirs, pumps, a thermal engine, connectivity and processing chips. These parts circulate heated or chilled water through the cover. [1]
IoT Know-How, Applied To Sleep.
BoShiJie is a Chinese connected-device specialist whose work extends from communication technology into complete intelligent terminals. That foundation is relevant to a product that must coordinate electronics, connectivity and physical control.
The relationship appears in product-level filings. The Pod 4 report identifies BoShiJie Technology Co., Ltd. as manufacturer of model 10504, with its address in Huizhou, Guangdong. A 2025 report for Pod Hub model 11504 again names BoShiJie as both manufacturer and factory. [2] [3]
These records show manufacturing involvement across successive documented products. They place BoShiJie closer to delivery of the complete Hub than to an isolated board or wireless module.
The Hard Part Is Inside.
For Pod 4, Eight Sleep describes redesigning the thermal engine, improving airflow, adjusting pump and reservoir mounting, and refining tubing and control electronics. The aim was stronger cooling with less noise—a demanding combination for a device beside someone’s bed. [1]
Separately, BoShiJie says its smart-sleep products are co-developed with an overseas customer through an ODM model: a manufacturer participates in development as well as production. That disclosure leaves the customer unnamed; the FCC records establish the specific Eight Sleep manufacturing connection. [5]

The Hardware Platform
Documented Pod manufacturing, backed by a broader connected-device development and production business.
A New Category Finds Its Feet.
That is roughly 19.7 times the previous year’s revenue. It is the supplier’s smart-sleep category total, not a disclosed Eight Sleep contract value or Eight Sleep’s own revenue.
Our perspective: these records illustrate how a brand’s new product category and a supplier’s capabilities can develop together. The brand brings a specific customer need; a capable Asian partner brings experience turning connected hardware into products that can be delivered.
Asia’s supply chain can be a development partner—and a platform for growing a new category.

Product & Supplier Notes.
The manufacturing relationship is documented for models 10504 and 11504. BoShiJie’s ODM disclosure names no customer, and its reported smart-sleep revenue covers the entire product category. Public records below provide product and supplier background.
